Caddo sheriff’s deputies are still investigating a pedestrian fatality that occurred Sunday night in south Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deputies say the victim is believed to be an 18-year-old Shreveport woman. Next of kin are still being notified so her name has not been officially released.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the railroad tracks near Bert Kouns and Flournoy Lucas Road.Sgt. Mike Gray with the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Unit said witnesses reported seeing a woman near the tracks earlier that evening. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
