A teacher at Green Oaks High School was arrested today for simple battery of a student, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Alvin Wallace, 48, of Shreveport, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center following an investigation by Det. Jackie Winston. Wallace’s bond was set at $1,500.

Wallace is accused of physically removing a 15-year-old female student from his classroom on March 6. The girl was reportedly being disruptive, and Wallace asked her to leave his classroom. He then forcefully removed her from the class, causing her to fall against a classroom door on the opposite side of the hallway.
