A Shreveport man was arrested for bank fraud in a financial crimes scheme that netted him over $18,000, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Anthony Guidry, 34, of the 200 block of Symphony Lane, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on Monday following his investigation and arrest by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Herring.

Guidry fraudulently obtained a merchant credit card terminal through Elavon, which is a division of USA Bank. He then by passed security measures and authorization to force two fraudulent transactions totaling $18,861. Guidry then funneled the money to pre-paid credit cards, using them for his own personal benefit.
