A Blanchard man was arrested Wednesday for sex crimes involving juveniles over 10 years ago, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jimmy Garland Canada, 63, of the 200 block of Juliet Street, turned himself in on a warrant obtained by Sheriff’s Det. Jared Marshall. Canada was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of molestation of a juvenile.

Canada came under investigation in November after a 28-year-old woman reported that he had touched her inappropriately several times when she was a girl in the late 1990s. During the investigation it was learned that Canada had also been the subject of a similar complaint by another 11-year-old girl in 2000, but no charges were filed at the time. The case was recently re-investigated, and a witness to that incident came forward
