Warrant leads to brothers’ arrest, seizure of drugs and guns

Agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task, assisted by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 629 Terrell Drive in Shreveport today and arrested two brothers.

Law enforcement obtained the search warrant after receiving complaints of nuisance crimes and drug activity in the area, said Sheriff Steve Prator and Police Chief Willie Shaw. Following an investigation by the Task Force, agents executed the warrant at the residence and seized approximately $8,000 in cash, 20 grams of marijuana, and three firearms, including an AK-47 assault rifle, Remington 700 rifle with scope, and a stolen .45 caliber firearm.

Arrested were Charles Lucas Cawthorne, 30, for possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm with CDS, and Charles Ray Cawthorne, 31, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm. Both were booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
