Caddo deputies arrested a Keithville woman for vehicular negligent injury in connection with an injury accident that occurred on July 11, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Toxicology evidence obtained following the crash on Hwy. 169 in Keithville allowed traffic safety investigators with the Sheriff’s Office to obtain a warrant Monday for the arrest of Marsha Diane Maurer, 35.
Maurer was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Venture van when she crashed her vehicle into a ditch, striking trees, and coming to rest in the roadway. Two passengers – a 23-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl - in her vehicle suffered severe injuries. The girl remains in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at LSUHSC in critical condition.
Maurer was arrested by Deputy Ken Davis and booked into CCC on two counts of first-degree vehicular negligent injury and one count of driving under suspension. No bond has been set.
