A Bossier City man is in custody for an overnight burglary in southeast Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Caddo Deputy Russell Hicks responded to a burglary call in the 500 block of Minnette Street around 8 p.m. Tuesday night. The suspect entered the residence through a window on the side of the residence and took a commercial paint sprayer valued at $1000.

Information was received that the suspect, Robert Charles Allen Jr., 18, was headed to Natchitoches. The Natchitoches Sheriff's Office was notified to be on the look out for Allen, and a short time later, NSO advised that they had located Allen. Deputy Hicks went to Natchitoches and brought Allen to the Caddo Sheriff's Office south substation to be questioned about the burglary. Following the interview, Allen was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center where he was booked into jail on one count of simple burglary. No bond has been set on his charges.

The property taken in the burglary was located and returned to its owner.
