Juveniles arrested for property damage

Three teenagers were arrested Tuesday for property damage in the Ellerbe Road area, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

On March 10, several citizens awoke to find their homes and property damaged. They reported yard lights broken, light poles pushed down, flower pots smashed, wooded chairs smashed, and flags removed from their homes.

The damage, which totaled over $2,000, occurred in the 10000 block of Stonehedge Drive and 9500 block of Hampstead Circle. The suspects are also accused of trespassing in the 300 block of Ellerbe Creek Circle.

One of the victims reported seeing three male juveniles riding on a golf cart in the area between 3:30 and 5 a.m. He followed them in his truck after they damaged his home, but the juveniles refused to stop.

Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Donnie Laney canvassed the area on foot and developed information regarding the identities of the suspects. All three were brought to the south substation yesterday and were arrested for felony simple property damage, two counts of misdemeanor simple property damage, and criminal trespassing. They were released to their parents.
