Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator will promote two deputies during a ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the Northwest Regional Re-entry Facility, 1101 Forum Drive.

The deputies receiving promotions are Garnette Darby, sergeant in the Detention Bureau, and Steve Douglas, sergeant in the Patrol Bureau.

Darby has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office for 12 years and has worked as a security deputy and in booking at Caddo Correctional Center. He also has served on the Emergency Response Team at CCC. He now serves as a supervisor in Security. Douglas is a 19-year deputy and has worked in Corrections and Patrol. He is now a patrol supervisor in north Caddo Parish.

Sheriff Prator will also recognize the following employees for their years of service to the Caddo Sheriff’s Office: Edith Pinkston, Karis Thomas, Joyce Terry, and Susan Johnson, five years; Wilona Jett and Janice Graham, 10 years; Russell Hicks and Lori Griffin, 15 years; Justine Lister, 20 years; Patsy Lewis, Mickey McDaniel, Judy Griffin, and Robert Brown, 25 years; and Wayne Abbott, 30 years.
