Applications are currently being accepted for the next Auxiliary deputy class, according to Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Auxiliary deputies supplement full-time Caddo sheriff’s deputies by volunteering their services to the Sheriff’s Office in a non-enforcement capacity. Graduates are required to complete 72 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours on patrol with a full-time deputy.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have no criminal history, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Applications are due by March 10 and can be obtained by contacting Deputy Kelly Hughes at 681-1113 or at caddosheriff.org by clicking the agency tab. Classes begin March 27.
