Each step of our selection process is vital in helping us select dedicated individuals to serve the residents of Caddo Parish. Honesty plays a critical factor during the processing period and after one becomes a deputy. Applicants who are disqualified will be informed of this decision and notified of future application dates, if eligible.

Applicants successfully completing our selection process are sent to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office 2 week Corrections Academy. A Corrections Deputy is also afforded an ongoing opportunity to demonstrate their willingness to further their careers in Law Enforcement by successfully passing a more strenuous criteria for entry into the Peace Officer Standards of Training (P.O.S.T) certified academy.
