A former employee of a local loan company was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office for making fraudulent loans and keeping the money for herself, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Tanshemekia Harris, 27, of Minden, came under suspicion when company officials noticed a shortage in her cash drawer. The manager conducted an audit of Harris’ recent activity and discovered 13 fraudulent loans totaling $4,950.

Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith obtained a warrant for Harris, and she was arrested in Minden on Monday. Harris was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for theft.
