Caddo sheriff's detectives arrested a Shreveport man in connection with a stabbing Sunday morning at the Twelve Mile Bayou Bridge.

Detective Kay Ward said the suspect, Kyle J. David, was at the bridge riding ATVs with friends when one of his friends got into an argument on the phone with a girl. The girl and her friend, Tony Whittington Jr., later showed up at the bridge. An argument ensued between David and Whittington, and Whittington was cut on the arm.

Whittington, no age available, returned home to Mooringsport and was airlifted to LSU Health Sciences Center for treatment of his injury. David, 19, of the 7500 block of Shirley Francis Road, was arrested for aggravated second-degree battery and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
