A Bethany couple was arrested for cruelty to a juvenile after they delayed seeking medical treatment for a toddler with a head injury, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jeffrey Noble, 27, and Stephanie File-Malone, 26, told deputies the 15-month-old girl was injured when Noble feel asleep while feeding the child in his lap and dropped her. They said Noble then fell on top of the child. They waited two days to seek medical treatment for the toddler, whose head was bruised and swollen, said Sheriff’s Detective James Moore.

Noble and File-Malone were also arrested for possession of marijuana after deputies found marijuana at their residence and in File-Malone’s car.
