Caddo deputies are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early this morning in Mooringsport, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Around 2:30 a.m., deputies and Caddo Fire District #7 responded to the 1000 block of Greenwood Street where the driver of a 1997 Ford Aspire ran off the road, flipped his vehicle onto its roof, and hit a patch of trees. The driver died at the scene. There were no other occupants.

The driver was identified as Corey Paul Parker, 25, of Oberlin, Louisiana. The crash remains under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
