It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jamarion Daughtery, son of Caddo Deputy Jacqueline Daughtery.

Jamarion, 9, passed away Sunday, September 27, after battling Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer.

A wake for Jamarion will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 2, at the Greater Hope Baptist Church, 4355 Greenwood Road. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 3, also at Greater Hope Baptist Church, and internment will take place at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6915 West 70th Street.

Jamarion was recently honored by Sheriff Steve Prator, members of the Caddo Sheriff's Office Special Response Team, and other deputies, who made him an honorary deputy and presented him with a certificate, patches and a ride-along in the Special Response Team's armored vehicle.
