The Caddo Sheriff's Office is working a fatality traffic crash that claimed the life of woman, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Around 11:45 a.m. today, a witness reported seeing an overturned Ford pickup on Hwy. 170 east of Vivian. Sheriff's Lt. Michael Gray said the driver of the vehicle, who was the sole occupant, was westbound when she lost control, ran off the road, and hit a tree. She died at the scene.

The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash is being investigated by the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit. They were assisted at the scene by the CPSO Patrol Division and Caddo Fire District #8.
