Caddo Sheriff's Captain escapes injury after tree falls on his vehicle

Caddo Sheriff’s Captain Larry Nunnery escaped with minor injuries after a tree fell onto his vehicle while traveling on Highway 538, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Around 12:50 p.m. today, Captain Larry Nunnery was traveling north on Highway 538 near Crescent Road, when a large oak tree fell onto his vehicle. The impact from the tree blew out all four tires and pinned Captain Nunnery into the vehicle. Two men witnessed the incident and immediately came to Captain Nunnery’s aid, helping remove him from the vehicle.

The vehicle and the tree were removed from the highway and Captain Nunnery was treated for minor injuries.
