An Oil City man died early this morning in a one-vehicle crash in north Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Just before 5 a.m., James Washington, 60, was traveling westbound on LA Hwy. 530 (Belcher-Oil City Road) when his vehicle left the road, rolled over, and struck an electric pole. He died at the scene of the crash.
Cpl. Jack Anderson is investigating the crash for the Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit. He said Washington was the only occupant of the vehicle. It was not immediately known why Washington veered off the road, he said.
