The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify two people who may have information about a car theft at the Longwood General Store on Sunday, December 27, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Store video shows the man and woman being dropped off at the store around 2:50 p.m. They are seen getting out of a blue SUV with a small wagon.

Store employees reported that the man and woman stayed around the store for several hours. Just after 11 p.m. the man is seen getting into a 2016 Kia Soul that was left running in the parking lot by a customer. The man drives away without permission.

Sometime earlier in the day a blue 1996 Tahoe on the back parking lot was also broken into.  Money, tools and documents were taken from the vehicle.  Some of those items were later discovered in the wagon that was left behind in the parking lot.

The stolen Kia has a Louisiana license plate, YEX 916. It has key scratches to the front driver’s side fender, a Texas registration sticker on the front driver’s side window, and a Texarkana College sticker on the back windshield.

CPSO Det. Matt Purgerson is asking the driver of the blue SUV and anyone else who may be able to identify the man and woman to contact him at 675-2170.
