Caddo Sheriff's detectives and patrol deputies arrested a 21-year-old Shreveport man on three counts of simple burglary and other charges early this morning.
The investigation started when concerned citizens called the Shreveport Police Department regarding a suspicious person parked in the parking lot of a south Shreveport gas station. When police arrived they made contact with Adam K. Eichelberger, who was seated in his car. Inside the vehicle that Eichelberger was driving, they located several items such as a GPS system, a vehicle stereo system, and two handguns. Eichelberger admitted to officers that he had taken these items during vehicle burglaries committed in the parish.
Caddo Parish deputies responded and took Eichelberger into custody. Caddo detectives responded as well, and Eichelberger admitted to them that he took the items from numerous UNLOCKED vehicles in the Deepwoods Subdivision. Deputies also recovered a large amount of Xanax from Eichelberger's vehicle.
Eichelberger was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center where he was booked into jail for simple burglary, possession of schedule IV CDS with intent to distribute, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was also booked as an in-state fugitive relating to parole violation.
