An 81-year-old Shreveport man was arrested by Caddo Sheriff’s detectives for the rape of a 6-year-old girl, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

 

James Edward Dickens, of the 7400 block of Whispering Pines Drive, is accused of having sexual contact with the juvenile victim on numerous occasions in 2016 while at his home in Caddo Parish. Dickens was arrested Tuesday and booked into Caddo Correctional Center for first-degree rape.

 

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information should contact Detective Larry Pierce with the CPSO Youth Services Division at 681-0700.
