Caddo Sheriff's deputies are investigating the discovery of a body found in a well on Dixie Blanchard Road Thursday night, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Just after 10 p.m., Deputy Marcus Jeansonne was contacted by phone at the substation by a woman who said she was concerned after not hearing from her 59-year-old sister. The woman said her sister went to 7559 Dixie Blanchard Road to cut the grass, and she had not heard from her since, nor was she answering her phone.

Patrol deputies responded and talked to the occupants living in a residence on the property. After searching the area for about 15 minutes, Cpl. Greg McGee discovered the woman's body in a water well on the property. The body was removed from the well by Caddo Fire District #1 and turned over to the Caddo Coroner's Office. The name of the deceased was not immediately released.

Deputies had been to the residence at least twice earlier on Thursday over a civil dispute involving property.

Sheriff's detectives are investigating the death as suspicious.
