Caddo Sheriff's deputies are investigating an early morning fatality crash that occurred on East Kings Highway.  

Just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning, Caddo deputies along with Caddo Fire District 5 responded to a single vehicle crash at 10808 E.Kings Highway. An extended cab pick-up truck was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire with the driver inside. The driver was deceased on scene and has not been positively identified at this time. 

Investigators assigned to the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit are continuing to investigate the crash. 

**Update** The Caddo Coroner has identified the deceased as John Edward Spinks, 31, of Shreveport.
