The Caddo Sheriff’s Office will conduct extra patrols in search of impaired drivers this holiday season.
A grant provided by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission called “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” will provide 153 hours of funding for deputies to provide extra patrols in Caddo Parish. The added patrols will take place from December 13th through January 1st.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator said CPSO has no tolerance for drunk or impaired driving. “If you’re over the limit and you drive, you’re under arrest,” he said. “Don’t put yourself or others at risk. Enjoy the holidays but don’t over indulge. Plan ahead. Designate a sober driver in advance. Call a friend, a cab, or stay put.”
