Two arrested after road rage incident

Two men were arrested today following a road rage incident that led to gunfire, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. after an altercation at the four-way stop on Northport Boulevard in front of
Walmart in Blanchard. Following the altercation, Robert Carrillo, 56, drove to the store parking lot. LaDarrell Washington, Jr., 19, who was leaving the store, backed up and drove to where Carrillo was parked. A verbal altercation ensued which led Carrillo to run toward Washington's vehicle and attempt to pull him from his vehicle. After the physical altercation, Washington produced a handgun and fired it into the pavement in the direction of Carrillo and others in the parking lot.

Washington fled the scene and was located later by Caddo patrol deputies at a house on Doris Street. Patrol deputies and detectives then located the gun in the backyard of a residence on Alaska Lane. Washington was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, which is a felony.

Carillo remained at the scene following the incident. He was issued a summons for misdemeanor Simple Battery and was released.
