Caddo Sheriff's Academy to graduate Monday

Graduation exercises for the 44th basic training class of the Caddo Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy will take place at 4 p.m. Monday, December 3, at Calvary Baptist Church, 9333 Linwood Avenue.  Sheriff Steve Prator will be the guest speaker.

Nine agencies will be represented when 27 graduates take the oath of office, receive their badges, and participate in a special ceremony where family and friends assist them with pinning on their badges for the first time.

Class participants received 535 hours or more of peace officer training in areas including law, patrol activities, traffic services, report writing, investigations, firearms, first aid, and criminal justice.

Graduates are: Stephen Andrews, John Brown, Michael DeSilva, Dianna Evans, Sara Gunderson, Ray Lindsay, James Melvin, Todd Remedes, Gary Rosalies, Roovelroe Swan, Stanley Williams, and Marshala Young, Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office; Keummus Faure, Camp Minden Military Police; Taylor Caldwell, James Cope, Jaden Holder, and  Angela Jordan, Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Office; Tanisha Williams, Greenwood Police Department; Dennis Smith, Homer Police Department; Angel Driskill and Trenton Hall, Office of Juvenile Justice; John Griffith, Trevyn Ogden, Melvin Reliford, and James Sarpy, Red River Sheriff’s Office; Jesse Branam, Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office; and Jedidiah Carroll, Vivian Police Department.
