Update: I-20 has re-opened.

Caddo  Sheriff's patrol deputies are investigating a fatality crash involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

The crash occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on I-20 at mile marker 2 west of the rest area. Two men had pulled their motorcycles side by side on the shoulder of the road when an18-wheeler hauling a wide load hit the motorcycle closest to the interstate. The driver of the that motorcycle was killed at the scene. The driver of the second motorcycle was knocked over but not injured. The driver of the 18-wheeler, who is from West Virginia, pulled over at the rest area.

The crash remains under investigation.
