Warrant leads to four arrests on drug charges

Four men were arrested on drug charges after an investigation at a Pecan Street residence in Shreveport, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond.

On the morning of July 23, agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force, assisted by the Caddo Sheriff’s Special Response Team, executed a search warrant at 1247 Pecan Street. During a search of the residence Bacardi Johnson was found to be in possession of 573 grams of marijuana, 1,397 dosage units of Xanax, one vial of trenbolone, a rifle, and two handguns.  Fermini Monzon was found in possession of 44 one-gram THC vape cartridges, 123 dosage units of Xanax, and 30 clonazepam.  Zachary Carter was found with 51 dosage units of Xanax and 24 grams of marijuana. Omar Lara was in possession of one gram of marijuana. 

The suspects were arrested on the following charges:

  1. Johnson, 25, of the 2200 block of Urbandale, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV (Xanax), possession of Schedule III (steroids), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm with CDS;
  1. Monzon, 27, of the 1200 block of Pecan, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (marijuana), possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV (clonazepam), and possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV (Xanax);
  1. Carter, 32, of the 1200 block of Pecan, possession of Schedule I (marijuana) and possession of Schedule IV (Xanax); and
  1. Lara, 25, of the 2900 block of Jeston Circle, Bossier City, possession of Schedule I (marijuana).

Johnson, Monzon, and Carter were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center. Lara was issued a summons to appear on his charge.
