An investigation by the Caddo Narcotics Unit and Louisiana State Probation and Parole has resulted in the arrest of two men and the seizure of drugs, cash, and weapons, according to Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Agents arrested Eric Wimbley, 49, on April 13 after he arrived at a residence in the 2900 block of Looney Street in Shreveport. Timothy Welch, 40, was arrested while in a separate vehicle at the same location. Welch was in a Jeep talking to Wimbley when agents arrived on scene. As agents exited their car, Welch ran into their vehicle while attempting to flee the scene. He continued down the block until he was apprehended by K-9 deputies.

A search of Wimbley's vehicle revealed 140 grams of crack cocaine, 128 grams of methamphetamine tablets, two grams of powder cocaine, 222 grams of marijuana, a handgun, and $3,271 in cash.

Wimbley was arrested for Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm with CDS. Welch was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Vehicle on a Peace Officer and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
