Work fight ends with man being stabbed

A fight between two co-workers at Calumet Packaging ended with one man being hospitalized for stab wounds, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Caddo Sheriff's deputies were called to the business at 10411 LA Highway One around 4 p.m. this afternoon. According to investigators, employees Charles C. Colbert, 24, and Billie Reynolds, 56, got into a work-related argument, which led to a physical fight. During the fight, Reynolds produced a knife and stabbed Colbert multiple times in the arm, face, side, and back. Colbert was taken by ambulance to Ochsner LSU Health where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Reynolds turned himself in a short while later at the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for aggravated second-degree battery.

The case was investigated by Detectives Matthew Lucky and Demetrice Adams-Ellis.
