CPSO arrests man after detectives find over 200 files of child pornography

UPDATE: After a digital forensic analysis was completed on several media devices, Merritt was found to be in possession of, an additional 1769 files of CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material). Some of the images and videos depicted children under three years of age being sexually abused.  Glenderek was given an additional 1769 counts of R.S. 14:81.1, Pornography Involving Juveniles. Glenderek remains in Caddo Correctional Center at the time of these added counts. 

Caddo detectives arrested a Shreveport man on Wednesday morning after they found hundreds of child pornography in his electronic devices, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Glenderek Merritt, 25, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and charged with 200 counts of pornography involving juveniles.

Following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), detectives executed a search warrant of Merritt's residence in the 9700 block of Baird Rd. Caddo Cyber Crimes Detective Jared Marshall examined the media devices seized from Merritt's home and discovered over 200 files of children, as young as 4 years old, engaged in explicit sex acts.

The investigation is ongoing and Merritt could face more charges.
