U.S. Highway 79 closed due to wildfire

UPDATE: The road is back open.

Caddo deputies closed down U.S. Highway 79 South due to a wildfire in Panola County, said Sheriff Steve Prator. 

Only those who live on Highway 79 will be permitted to drive through. Currently, traffic is backed up for several miles. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
