Caddo sheriff’s detectives arrested a Shreveport man for raping a child some 10 years ago, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Dale Owen Lowe Sr., 68, of the 200 block of Boulevard, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on Friday charged with the aggravated rape of an 8-year-old girl. He was arrested at his home on Friday by Detectives Dorothy Brooks and Jackie Winston after a Caddo grand jury handed down an indictment against him this past week.

The victim, who is now 18, told authorities the crime occurred at a house in the Lakeview Subdivision, where Lowe lived at the time.

Lowe’s bond has been set at $750,000.
