Caddo Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in south Caddo Parish early this morning.

Jeffrey M. Parker, 35, of Keithville, was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash on LA Hwy. 169 just south of LA Hwy. 789. 

Deputies said it appeared Parker was traveling south at a high rate of speed when his Mitsubishi truck left the roadway and traveled along a ditch before hitting an embankment and culvert. Parker, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from his vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by Cpl. Michael Vaitkus of the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
