A fireman with Fire District #6 was arrested today for stealing money the department collected for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Lt. Kevin Talmedge, 38, of Shreveport, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for felony theft over $500. He was arrested following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Alan Davidson.

Fire District #6 firefighters collected $556.18 for MDA over the Labor Day weekend. After the money was counted and verified, Talmedge left with the donations to turn them in to the MDA at a public event in Bossier City. However, he never showed up to donate the money. Talmedge later admitted taking the money for his personal use.
