Caddo sheriff’s detectives arrested a Mooringsport man for the rapes of two girls who were 10 and 11 at the time, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Michael Jerry Davis, 32, of 416 Weston Street, was arrested at his residence late Thursday night by Detectives Jackie Winston and Dorothy Brooks. Davis was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of aggravated rape. His bond has been set at $500,000.

Winston and Brooks said the alleged abuse by Davis has been ongoing for several years. Davis is accused of raping a juvenile girl numerous times over a two-year period beginning in 2004. The victim was 10 years old at the time the sexual abuse began. In 2008, an 11-year- old girl reported she was raped several times by Davis between June and November.
