A bond payment phone scam is targeting our community. Investigators from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office have reported that scammers are impersonating Caddo Sheriff's Deputies and asking individuals for bond payments to release inmates. Please remember that no one from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will ever request payment over the phone or ask for payment by mail, including through apps like Zelle, Cash App, or other peer-to-peer payment apps.

Stay vigilant and protect yourself from these scams. These scammers have already targeted multiple individuals. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately. Do not make any payments, provide personal information, or share details about gift or money cards. Your safety is important.
