Caddo Deputies Arrest Shreveport Woman for Simple Assault

Caddo Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a Shreveport woman for causing a disturbance on school grounds after hours, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On April 25 at 10 AM, Aquanita Turner, 42, of Shreveport, was taken into custody during her visit to speak with the principal of Huntington High School regarding an incident that occurred the day before. The School Resource Officer (SRO), Deputy Kevin Brown, reported that on the evening of April 24, during an after-school event at the school, Turner confronted a teacher and became involved in a verbal altercation. During this encounter, she threatened the educator and had to be physically restrained.

Turner was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where she was booked on charges of interfering with the operation of schools, disturbing the peace, and simple assault.
