Caddo Parish Sheriffs Office to Offer Summer Safety Training for Youth
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is providing local youth with essential life-saving skills just in time for summer through first aid and CPR training on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Sessions will be held at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA 71118.
Children ages 8 to 12 can attend from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., while teens ages 13 to 16 will receive hands-on training from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Certified instructors will lead interactive workshops covering how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, as well as how to provide basic first aid for injuries, burns, and other common emergencies. Attendees will also learn how to respond to choking and cardiac arrest, and they will receive important water safety tips.
No prior experience is needed to attend and each participant will receive a certificate of completion. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. To register, contact Deputy Vernita Williams at (318) 681-0869 or email vernita.williams@caddosheriff.org.
