A man from Caddo Parish was arrested on drug and weapon charges after allegedly threatening his girlfriend and her family, as reported by Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.

On June 20, 2025, a woman contacted the sheriff's office to report that her boyfriend had threatened to harm her and her family. Deputies Fertal and Corporal Childress responded to her call and spoke with her about the incident. She also indicated that her boyfriend might be in possession of illegal narcotics.

The deputies made contact with the suspect, Anthony Kidder, 38, at his residence on the 7200 block of Deer Trail in Caddo Parish. Kidder was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana, and upon inspecting his home, deputies observed more marijuana in plain sight. They gathered enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

After executing the search warrant, deputies discovered a sauna that appeared to be used for the cultivation and drying of marijuana. They found several marijuana plants drying inside a box, over a dozen mason jars filled with marijuana, and multiple plastic bags containing suspected marijuana.

Anthony Kidder was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center and booked on charges of manufacturing and distributing marijuana, cultivating marijuana, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances, and illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of a minor.
