Caddo man has been arrested for stealing copper wire
According to Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr., a man from Caddo Parish has been arrested for stealing AT&T wire from power poles.
On July 10, 2025, at 3:30 AM, patrol deputies were dispatched to the area of Flournoy Lucas near Stevens Road in response to reports of a suspicious male potentially attempting to break into homes. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a bag containing suspected burglary tools, as well as 300 feet of cut AT&T copper wire from several poles in the vicinity.
A witness informed deputies that a man dressed entirely in black fled the area and ran into a large field along Stevens Road. The suspect was later located hiding in the woods near Wrenwood Boulevard, thanks to the use of a drone operated by Sgt. Brian Johnson and Deputy Aaron Normand.
The suspect, Shawn Fielhauer, 26, was arrested and taken into custody by Corporals Notarianni and Bradley. He was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on charges of felony theft, simple criminal damage to property, and illegal carrying of weapons. Additionally, Fielhauer had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest, including felony theft, illegal possession of stolen things, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and registration as a sex offender.
Great job to our B Shift Patrol deputies!
