Stonewall man arrested for first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder
A man from Stonewall was arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for sexually assaulting a juvenile and leaving them for dead, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
On August 2nd, just before 2 AM, Caddo Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Farmridge Road in response to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a young child who had been sexually assaulted and was lying lifeless at the residence. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital by the Caddo Fire District, as they were suffering from life-threatening injuries.
After prompt action by our detectives, a potential suspect, Lucas Logan, 31, was identified and taken into custody. Deputies transported Logan to the detective's office for further investigation. As a result of this investigation, Logan was charged with first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder. Subsequently, he was taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was officially booked in on the aforementioned charges.

*****UPDATE (August 5)*****
Following further investigation, the CPSO's Special Victims Unit has added additional charges against Lucas Logan, 31. The charges include 16 counts of pornography involving juveniles (Production) and one count of molestation of a juvenile.
Lucas remains within the Caddo Correctional Center when these offenses were added.

****UPDATE (September 17)****
On the early morning of August 2, 2025, Caddo deputies were dispatched to 4000 Farmridge Road to investigate a sexual assault incident. Shea Upshaw, 31, is the mother of the 6-year-old victim. Her boyfriend, Lucas Logan, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and attempted first-degree murder.
During the investigation, multiple interviews were conducted with Upshaw. After being read her Miranda rights, she confessed to previously lying in order to protect Lucas. Upshaw admitted to cleaning and removing evidence related to the incident.
On September 10, 2025, the Honorable Chris Victory signed an arrest warrant charging Shea Upshaw with one count of accessory after the fact and one count of obstruction of justice. The warrant was executed on September 17, 2025. She was arrested in Bossier Parish and subsequently transferred to the Caddo Correctional Center to face the charges.
