The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is offering a free Distracted and Impaired Driving Course designed to help young adults develop safe driving habits. The class will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71118.

The course is open to drivers ages 18–25. This hands-on session will teach practical skills and real-life lessons to help motorists stay safe on the road. Interactive activities will give participants the chance to learn defensive driving strategies, and simulation goggles will show the effects of impairment, offering a realistic look at the consequences of unsafe driving.
