Shreveport woman arrested after pointing a handgun at bank employees
On September 3, 2025, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Division received a complaint about a woman named Stephanie W. Head. She allegedly threatened employees at Chase Bank on Freestate Boulevard in Caddo Parish with a handgun. Bank employees reported that Head entered the bank in an agitated state after discovering a handwritten note from a teller on her husband's bank envelope., which read, “Have an Amazing Day!”
Head caused a disturbance by threatening to shoot up the bank. Additionally, she attacked an employee who tried to photograph her license plate and pointed a handgun at the employees as she left the parking lot.
On the morning of September 11, patrol deputies executed an arrest warrant and a search warrant for Stephanie Head and her residence in the 300 block of Brookbriar Drive. During this operation, the firearm used in the incident was recovered. Deputies arrested 62-year-old Stephanie Wimberly Head and transported her to the Caddo Correctional Center, where she was booked on three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and one count of Disturbing the Peace. The warrants were signed by Judge Victory, and her bond was set at $51,000.00.
