Patrol Deputies have arrested a man for chasing his girlfriend and pointing two firearms at her, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On September 20, 2025, at approximately 10:30 AM, patrol deputies responded to a disturbance in the 6600 block of Kim Street, near Blanchard.

The victim reported that she was being chased by her boyfriend, Lawrence Pickett, 58, who threatened her with two handguns.

Following a brief investigation, Deputies Greg Duval and Christan Dickey took charge of the incident and submitted a search warrant to the Caddo District Attorney's Office. Within minutes, the Honorable Judge Donald Hathaway Jr. of the First Judicial District Court signed the search warrant.

Deputies then executed the search warrant at Pickett’s residence on Kim Street, seizing two handguns and ammunition.

Pickett was subsequently arrested for Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Convicted of Domestic Abuse. He was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on these charges.

This case was made possible thanks to the prompt assistance of the Caddo District Attorney’s Office.

The Caddo Sheriff’s Patrol Division remains committed to its strategic objective of pursuing violent felons and illegal firearms.
