The Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has arrested a man from South Caddo for sex crimes involving a juvenile, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On October 8, deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Patrol investigated a case of sexual abuse against a juvenile in Caddo Parish. They contacted the Special Victims Unit, which conducted an interview with the suspect, 45-year-old Darrell W. Cotton. Following further investigation, Cotton was arrested on one count of third-degree rape.

Cotton was subsequently taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the aforementioned charge. The investigation is ongoing.
