D.A.R.E. Officers Invite Community to Wear Orange and Take a Stand Against Bullying
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office invites families and youth to a Stop the Bullying event on Saturday, October 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA 71118. Participants are encouraged to wear orange to show their support.
Everyone will be provided with the tools to recognize, report, and prevent bullying in their schools and communities. Attendees will learn how to spot the signs of bullying, understand what bullying is, safely report incidents, and promote kindness and respect for others.
The day will feature a presentation titled “Scars” by Sergeant Jason Jones of the Shreveport Police Department, along with a community fair, cake walk, games, and an anti-bullying walk. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
