Calling all parents and guardians! The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office recognizes the increase in fighting, vaping with THC, weapon possession, and gun violence over the years. This trend has had a significant impact on our youth and their future.
In response, we have developed a program called C.H.O.I.C.E. (Choosing Healthy Options Instead of Criminal Engagement) for young adults aged 12-17 who are at risk, have faced disciplinary issues at school, or have arrest records.
Our goal is to educate young people on how to avoid infractions, understand the consequences of risky or illegal behavior, and recognize positive alternatives along with effective decision-making strategies. We kindly ask for your assistance in reaching those who may benefit from this program.
The class will take place October 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Community Relations and Crime Prevention Office, located at 1501 Corporate Drive, Shreveport, LA 71107. For more information, please contact Deputy Vernita Williams at 318-681-0869.riff.org
