A man from Shreveport has been arrested for possessing and distributing child pornography, as reported by Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On August 1, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office's Special Victims Unit received information from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office regarding the online distribution of suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in Caddo Parish.

During the investigation, Detective Lites identified Cooper Johnson, a 21-year-old resident of the 4800 block of Youree Drive in Shreveport, as the individual responsible for distributing multiple instances of CSAM to other online users. On October 13, the Honorable Judge Ramona Emanuel signed a search warrant for Johnson's residence.

On October 22, detectives from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant at Johnson's home. Following their investigation, Johnson was arrested and taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on ten counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles.

Additional charges are expected to follow pending the forensic analysis of digital evidence seized during the search.
